Sharks Take It To Flames

The Sharks came out hard in the first period. They scored 4 goals 3 of them were on the power play. The first goal came from Pavelski at 8:04 and the first of the power play goals. Then only 27 seconds later Michalek scored the only even strength goal in the period.Marleau scored the 3rd goal again on the power play at 15:02 and tying Owen Nolan’s record for most power play goals. Then to make things worse for the Flames Thorton scored the last goal of the period at 17:42 making the score 4 to 0 Sharks. The Shot Totals for the period were the Sharks 20 and The Flames 5.

The second period wasn’t as action packed as the first. But at 1:18 of the second period Michalek got his second goal of the night making the score 5 to 0 Sharks. That was all the scoring of the second period with the Sharks at a five goal advantage and taking 15 shots and the Flames taking 8.

The third period the Flames knew that they had to score. They pressed very hard. But at 3:13 the Flames took a penalty which only 22 seconds later Pavelski got a power play goal and his second goal of the night. After Pavelski scored the Flames knew that they had to do something. So at 10:13 of the period they did. Cammalleri scored the flames one and only goal of the game. That was about it for the game with the Flames taking 11 shots that period and 24 overall . Sharks Win by a Hair

The Sharks had a very suspense filled game for us. The first period had a lot of action in it. At 5:49 Clowe got in a fight with Crombeen and lost. But then only 1 minute and 24 seconds later at 7:13 of the first period Dan Boyle scored a goal to make the score 1 to 0 Sharks. At the end of the first the score was still 1 to 0 Sharks with the Sharks taking 8 shots and the Stars taking 5.

The second period didn’t have any scoring. It was still very exciting. There were a lot of scoring chances. At the end of the second period the score was still 1 to 0 Sharks. The shot totals for the period were the Sharks with 11 and The Stars with 7.

In the third period there was a really desperate Stars team that came on to the ice because only 3:41 into the period the Stars scored to tie the game at 1.  There was no scoring until the final minute of the game when with 28.3 seconds left Captin Patrick Marleau stole the puck from Marty Turco and got the game winning goal. The Sharks took a total of 33 shot as the Stars only took 24.

Sharks Come From Behind To Beat Detroit

The Sharks really shocked everyone when the came from behind to win it. The game started out fine. There wasn’t any scoring in the first period. The Sharks took 12 shots as the Red Wings only took 5.

The 2nd period was a lot more exciting. At :18 of the first period Marian Hossa scored a easy goal that Nabakov should have had. but then at 7:01 of the 2nd Marleau scored a goal to tie the game at 1 to 1. Then 2 minutes and 1 second later Jamie McGinn scored his first ever NHL goal to give the Sharks a  1 goal lead.  Then Clowe scored at 10:26 to make the score 3 to 1 sharks. That was about it for the 2nd period. The Sharks 15 shots and the Red Wings got 8.

The 3rd period didn’t go much better for the Red Wings because 6:08 of the 3rd Pavelski scored to give the Sharks a 4 to 1 lead. Then with 32 seconds left in the game Rafalski scored the 6th and final goal of the game making it 4 to 2 Sharks. That was the final score with the Sharks getting 6 shots in the 3rd and 33 overall. The Red Wings took 14 shots in the 3rd and 27 overall.

Like Mike Babcock said, “They just do what we do-and the team that does it better is going to win.”
