sharks-celebrating3.jpg The San Jose Sharks played The Minnesota Wild last night. The game started off well. Then about 4 minutes into the game the sharks JR scored the first goal. Then with about 8 minutes left in the period the wild scored a weird goal to tie the game. That was all that happened in the 1st period.  Then at 12:37 Curtis Brown got a pass from JR and got the sharks a 1 goal lead. Then a few minutes later Kurtis Foster went behind the net when Mitchell accidentally knocked him over and broke his knee. Mitchell only got a 2 minute tripping penalty. The Sharks kept there 2-1 lead until 28.4 seconds left in the game when Marion Gaborik scored a power play goal to tie the game again. The score stayed 2-2 through the 5 minute overtime period. Then it was Shootout Time. Ron Wilson choose to shoot first. He sent out Joe Pavelski to take the first shot. Little Joe came in faked a shoot to the right and shot it in top shelf on the left side. Then the wild missed. Then Marleau missed. Then Gaborik made it. Then JR made it. Then the pressure was on Mikko Koivou. He came in on Nabokov tried to fake him out and it didn’t work. Then he shot. Nabokov was in the perfect position to save the shot and win the sharks the game.
